MUSIC fans will be bringing the swing back to a town when a new bank holiday festival gets underway.

The Limelight Festival starts tomorrow and continues on Sunday and Monday.

It will see the historic bandstand in Queen's Gardens brought back into use for a series of concerts. Groups are to include the Lyme Valley Swing Band, Newcastle Big Band, and the Jubilee Brass Band.

There will also be a crafts and vintage market, a real ale tent, a fair, and other family attractions.

The plans are being overseen by Newcastle Town Centre Partnership.

Town centre manager Matt Taylor said it would include some of the area's best music.
